Pittsburgh, Indianpolis, Bloomington (Indiana), Louisville and Frankfort. That’s where we have met fellow Buddhists for daimoku (chanting the mystic law of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo) so far since we set out on Saturday. I have dropped off free copies of Waiting for Westmoreland at three SGI-USA community centers thus far. Why? Because I want to share my experience of changing those seemingly negative aspects of my karma into my mission in life. Why is this my mission? The actions of a bodhisattva–leading others to enlightenment, to happiness, is what creates the wisdom and power of the buddha. The power, the ability to overcome any obstacle to happiness to ultimate success in life.

Waiting for Westmoreland came up as a Google Ad in the sidebar as I was exchanging emails with my son in San Francisco just now. It was the line about dedicating it to President Ikeda that caught my eye!

Now I read that you were in Indianapolis, Bloomington, Louisville and Frankfort…. all cities in the MidEast Zone of Central Territory of SGI-USA! As the women’s leader of the zone and a resident of Louisville, I apologize that I missed the opportunity to meet you and chant with you when you came through. Please let me know if you ever come this way again.

Thank you for your blog, your book and your voice! The voice does the Buddha’s work!

  2. You are welcome. I did talk to you on the phone while in transit; you helped me find people. I will let you know if I travel back through.
